On November 28,2022, Impro announced that the investment casting plant in its North American production base in Mexico (“Impro Mexico SLP Campus”) commenced production. With this plant, together with the sand casting and precision machining plants, Impro Mexico SLP Campus will thus help enhance the Group’s global footprint.

Investment Casting is one of the oldest known manufacturing processes. It requires a metal die, wax, ceramic slurry, furnace, molten metal, and machinery needed for sandblasting, cutting, or grinding. This process is highly beneficial for casting metals with high melting temperatures that cannot be molded in plaster or metal.

Impro investment casting process starts from tooling design and manufacture, wax pattern injection, wax pattern tree assembly, shell making, dewaxing, melting, pouring, finishing and cleaning. We have in-house heat treatment, lab services, and NDT, machining, and surface treatment to provide one-stop solutions to customers. We offer both rapid prototype and volume production runs.
