Energy Storage Power Station at Impro China’s Headquarters Officially Starts Operations
On December 2nd, 2024, the energy storage power station at Impro China’s headquarters officially commenced operations. This marks the second energy storage power station in Impro China region following the storage station at Impro Yixing Plant, which put into operations in April 2024. This new power station boosts a maximum output of 20MW and a maximum energy storage capacity of 40MWh, making it the largest user-side energy storage power station currently operational in the Wuxi area.
The energy storage power station operates by storing electricity at off-peak electricity hours and discharging power during the peak hours. This strategy not only reduces the corporate energy costs but also helps balance grid supply and demand, ensuring the continuity and reliability of corporate power usage. Moreover, these stations enhance the utilization of renewable energy, promote transitioning to a green economy, and contribute to low-carbon emission.
As a global manufacturer of high-precision, high-complexity and mission-critical system and components, Impro has always regarded sustainability as a crucial mission. Against the backdrop of the gradually established global carbon tariff and carbon emission trading system, this move will actively fulfill our commitment to international customers regarding “A Green Global Supply Chain” and continue to advance the Group’s efforts in the areas of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG).
China Three Gorges Corporation, Impro’s partner in the energy storage power station project, is a benchmark enterprise with the world’s largest clean energy corridor. The Three Gorges Corporation stated that Impro plants in China will be given priority access to Three Gorges Group’s clean energy, helping Impro’s China plants to ultimately realize the goal of transitioning to be the low-carbon to zero-carbon plants.
